Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company
Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company ("LMIMCo"), headquartered in Bethesda MD, is the named fiduciary for the investment of assets in Lockheed Martin sponsored pension, savings, and other employee benefit trusts. Our mission is to manage the assets entrusted to us with prudence, diligence, and skills. We operate solely in the interests of plan participants and beneficiaries.
Our primary fiduciary responsibilities include the establishment of investment policies and strategies governing the investment of assets in various employee trust funds, and the appointment, removal, and monitoring of external investment managers and other service providers who exercise delegated authority over the investment and custody of trust Assets.
Job Description: Risk Manager
The Risk Manager will play a critical role in monitoring Investment Risk across multi-asset class portfolios to support investment decision making. LMIMCo utilizes Barra One as the primary enterprise risk platform for risk analytics such as Value-at-risk, scenario analysis, factor exposure, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
The role's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Develop and maintain risk reporting packages across multi-asset class portfolios
• Conduct stress testing and what-if scenario analyses to identify and monitor potential vulnerabilities to key risks
• Play an important role in the ongoing development, implementation and upgrade of risk systems
• Collaborate with investment staff in making risk-aware decisions including portfolio optimization, rebalancing strategies, etc.
• Assist with investment modeling for complex structured transactions and derivatives
• Serve as a contact with external service providers, such as custodian banks and risk system providers
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with 10 years or more of related professional experience
• Working knowledge of institutional investing in various asset classes including, equity, fixed-income, commodities, hedge funds, private equity, real estate, etc. and familiarity with derivatives
• Previous working experience in a risk management or control discipline, within the financial services industry
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Demonstrated persistence to see projects through completion and the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to maintain professional relationship with internal/external personnel
• Effective time management and communication skills with the ability to organize a workload with competing priorities
• Ambitious, self-starter with an attention to detail
Desired skills
• Post graduate qualification and degrees such as CFA, FRM, MBA or equivalent
• Working knowledge in Barra One, FactSet and Bloomberg
• Significant experience with analysis and reporting of financial products and financial risk
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with experience driving projects, and ability to implement change in a cross-functional environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $105,000 - $175,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
