We’re looking for an Investment Risk Analyst V to join our Investment Risk team. In this role, you’ll partner with the investment management team, business segments, and the enterprise risk management function to assess and manage asset risks, including credit risk, market risk, real estate risk, and liquidity risk.
- Risk and Asset Modeling: day-to-day leadership of credit risk modeling function, leading review and analysis of results. Lead and execute risk model enhancement projects. Provide investment assumptions guidance.
- Forecasting: support enterprise financial forecasts by quantifying and forecasting credit risk and credit drift under various economic scenarios.
- Consulting: collaborate with investment and corporate teams on Investment Risk, asset allocation and complex asset analysis.

Who You Are: - Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, finance or related field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience for the finance job track, or the Fellow of Society of Actuaries designation within the first year and 2+ years of actuarial work experience for the actuarial job track.
- Self motivated with excellent problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to embrace and understand the change process, and effectively guides others through change.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages, or the ability to learn is preferred
- Aptitude in programming languages is preferred
Job Level
We’ll consider talent at the next level with the right experiences and skills. The internal titles would be Financial Analyst V, or Assistant Financial Director, and Assistant Actuary or Associate Actuary Note: the minimum qualifications listed above relate to the Financial Analyst V position.
Work Environments
This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC). You’ll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
