Job Description & Responsibilities
Armory Securities is seeking an experienced, results-oriented professional with several years of relevant Investment Banking or advisory experience and the ability to lead workstreams in connection with Investment Banking engagements and business development projects. This role requires a strong financial modeling background, the ability to work well in an entrepreneurial environment and complete high-quality work product in high-pressure, client-critical transaction-oriented situations.
Armory offers a unique opportunity for Associates to work on projects that provide exposure to various financial advisory and Investment Banking products and industries. The Los Angeles based Investment Banking Associate will have exposure to multiple industries, including consumer, food & beverage, agribusiness and business services. The Los Angeles Investment Banking Associate can expect to be involved in a variety of transactions, including valuation, debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization and restructuring assignments. Transaction teams are typically small in size, providing significant responsibility and exposure to senior level professionals and clients. The position will involve travel, remote work and work from office based in El Segundo, CA.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 2-3+ years of Investment Banking, financial advisory or consulting experience, or MBA with relevant experience
- Strong interest in M&A and restructuring Investment Banking transactions
- Experience in restructuring, credit, or leveraged finance preferred
- Experience with financial modeling and financial statement analysis and strong analytical and quantitative skills, coupled with a strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
- Self-directed, highly motivated, able to learn and work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated team player and leader with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
- Ability to support Managing Directors in project execution including direct interaction with Armory clients
- Ability to provide credible guidance and training to Investment Banking analysts on financial modeling and presentation skills
The targeted start date is immediate and is based in Los Angeles, CA. Compensation includes base salary, discretionary bonus commensurate with the industry, and full benefits (including health, dental, vision, flexible spending account, and 401k).
