Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing in-depth analysis of the investment portfolio to ensure a consistent rate of return with an acceptable level of risk, while maintaining a focus on liquidity. Supports the asset liability management (ALM) production cycle in a backup capacity.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prepares required reports related to the administration of the bank portfolio.
Works directly with third party managers.
Prepares and provides detailed research related to markets and securities to management.
Works with the Funds Management Division Head to ensure that the investment policies are up to date and relevant.
Supports the ALM production and other functions as necessary in a backup capacity.
Provides research and analytical services to senior management as requested.
Assists in the budget process as it relates to the investment portfolio.
Provides additional analytical support as needed.
Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: Three (3) or more years of credit research or investment analysis experience with focus on fixed income securities preferred.
Strong PC skills - high proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Customer service oriented.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to travel as well as ability to travel over night, as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
