About the Role
As a member of the Global Investment Reporting team in the Americas region and a strong contributor to the implementation of a new IFRS accounting standard, you work closely with investment reporting colleagues in Kansas City and Bratislava. You also engage with other teams, such as Global Carrier Management, Asset Management, External Reporting, and IT. Using your knowledge of investment products, you provide accounting and reporting across all relevant valuations within Swiss Re.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform key account reconciliations and substantiation and prepare journal entries as part of the financial close process
- Work with others to proactively communicate and resolve any issues uncovered in the close process
- Ensure investment reporting results are met on a timely basis with high accuracy, including delivery of IFRS subledger and reporting
- Reconcile credit risk designations in Investment systems to support US Statutory reporting
- Support the implementation of new investment products, new systems and legal entity structure changes

About You
As an excellent critical thinker, you're a naturally detail-oriented professional and a confident communicator who can engage with colleagues in person, in writing, and online meetings.
Essentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major
- Minimum 1-2 year of work experience in accounting or finance
- General understanding of multi-valuation concept (US GAAP, Statutory & Regulatory, IFRS, Tax Reporting)
- Ability to learn end-to-end system flow
- General understanding of investments

- Ambitious and energetic with willingness to learn new concepts
- Strong computer/office tool skills, especially Microsoft Office products (Excel, Power BI)
