Short Description

The Investigator/Training Coordinator of Security Services reports directly to the Assistant Director of Security Services on all matters related to security investigations and security training throughout the Cooper University Healthcare System, to include the Cooper University Hospital campus and allied ambulatory sites.

 

The Investigator/Training Coordinator of Security Services will have direct oversight of the Cooper Security training program, to include new employee orientation, annual security specific education, De-escalation/Violence Prevention education, and outside training as determined by the Assistant Director of Security. They will also be responsible for investigating security related incidents utilizing interviews and security technology and reporting same to the Assistant Director of Security and Administrative Director of Security.   

 

This position works closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to ensure that Cooper receives the proper support to maintain a safe environment. This position will also maintain a strong working relationship with clinical directors and other leadership while furthering the mission of the department.


Experience Required

3 years Hospital Security or relative experience preferred

 

3 years Investigative experience either in law enforcement or private security required.

 

3 years prior training instructor experience preferred.


Education Requirements

Associates degree in a related field preferred; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Relative work experience in LE training and investigations capacity considered in lieu of degree.


License/Certification Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets CUHC standard criteria.
