The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Prince William County, Cities of Manassas & Manassas Park is looking for Investigators with values of fairness, honesty, and integrity to join our team.
About the role
You will assist the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office by implementing effective and sustainable solutions to intercept and eliminate local cycles of violence as sworn law enforcement assigned to one of our specialized prosecution units: Violent Crimes, Special Investigations, Special Victims, Domestic Violence, Juveniles, or General Crimes. Duties also include responding to crime scenes as needed, assisting in follow-up case investigations, locating and conducting witness interviews, providing supplemental reports, Service of Process, and other administrative duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or G.E.D. and three years of related experience.
Preferences:
Position requires prior experience as a sworn law enforcement officer with an accredited agency and 5 years of related experience in investigations including patrol and detective assignments. Thorough knowledge of police methods and practices, including police investigation, interviewing, criminal procedure, and evidence rules. Basic computer skills required for report writing and reviewing. Prior experience within the Thirty-first judicial district is a plus.

Salary Range: $60,801.00 to $112,000.00 Annual
