Job Summary:
Join the largest U.S. operator of retail laundromats as an Investigative Analyst, playing a crucial role in optimizing operations across over 80 locations in New York, New England, and several Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states. This role, based in the New York City metropolitan area, offers a combination of remote and 4 days a week in-office work opportunities, reporting directly to the company's VP of Corporate Operations.

Responsibilities:
Data Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis of operational data, leveraging Tableau and Excel to generate ad-hoc reports and insights for the Operations team.
- Maintain and enhance store level reporting to provide detailed insights into individual laundromat performance.
- Collaborate with store managers to identify reporting needs and implement improvements for more accurate and actionable data.
- Take ownership of Weekly, Monthly, and Annual report updates.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the ETL process by implementing processes to enhance data flow efficiency.
- Work closely with management and field personnel to develop and maintain key performance metrics for operational assessment.
Loss Prevention
- Monitor and analyze point-of-sale transactions, inventory discrepancies, and other relevant data to identify potential losses.
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to identify patterns and trends related to theft, fraud, and other loss incidents.
- Review surveillance systems and technologies to deter and detect theft and fraud.
- Conduct investigations into instances of theft, fraud, and other losses.
- Interview witnesses and gather evidence to build strong cases.
Desired Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 0-3 years of experience in operations analysis and data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional proficiency of Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VBA, array formulas) and experience building advanced functions.
- Demonstrated understanding of data visualization tools for presenting operational insights
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of the data lifecycle (e.g. collection, storage, transformation, modeling, and consumption)
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining systems for tracking inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Experience overseeing data entry processes and implementing best practices for accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Economics)
