We are a leading manufacturer and distributor in the Catholic and Inspirational Gift industry seeking an Inventory & Warehouse Manager to join our team! You will work with the sales team, warehouse team and accounting team to service our customers’ needs by ensuring we have the inventory we need when we need it (purchasing and inventory management) and to further ensure it gets to our customers in a timely manner (business customers only, no consumers.) In order to succeed in this role, you will be self-motivated, energetic, driven with a "go-getter" personality, and customer service oriented!
Role Responsibilities:

  • Manages the purchasing of products and materials to meet the daily demands of our customers. Manages our processes and resources to produce and deliver finished goods to our wholesale/retail customers.
  • Assures short- and long-term needs are met to maintain optimum in-stock inventory to meet customer needs, including increased capacity for seasonal needs.
  • Optimizes the supply chain through continuous supplier interaction, including international suppliers in Europe and Asia. Maintains relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, customs agents, and logistics partners (internal and external) ensuring their compliance as required by policies or mandates/legal requirements.
  • Responsible for: purchasing, production and inventory control, warehousing, and shipping operations, including the required Customs procedures.
  • Responsible for product billing related to shipping and export procedures. 
  • Assists with cost reduction initiatives to ensure we’re getting what we need, when we need it, and at the best price possible. 
  • Assures the integrity of the Inventory Control System. Shares responsibility with accounting to validate SAP Business One about Accounts Payable, Inventories, Cost Accounting, etc. 
  • Optimizes the key performance indicators (KPI’s) in the materials area such as Inventory Turnover, Customer Service, On Time Deliveries, etc. 
  • Validates and Authorizes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Production and Materials Control Function, including assignment of SKUs for new product, validation of SKUs for existing product, and streamlining this process. 
  • Assists in the warehouse (hands on) with shipping, receiving, stocking and regular cycle counts, especially during extremely busy weeks. At other times, manages the warehouse team to ensure a positive work environment, teamwork and customer service needs are met with on-time shipping of our products.
  • Must be flexible and willing to change focus and direction as needed, as priorities sometimes shift, and you need to be able to change direction as business needs change.
Work Environment:
This position works in both an office and warehouse setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, box cutters and tape dispensers.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time exempt level position. Current days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM. to 5:30 PM, with additional hours as needed.
Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience is required; Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years previous warehouse supervisory or management experience, preferably in an environment with many SKU’s and working with multiple countries, including China and Italy.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in planning/supply chain.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in materials, purchasing/procurement.
  • Minimum 3-5 years hands-on experience with SAP Business One is required. Experience with, or the ability to learn Accounting Suite is a plus.
  • Leadership experience in a production/inventory/product environment.
  • Good understanding of inventory procedures and best practices.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented to ensure the proper orders get shipped to the proper customers on time and accurately.
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hard working and on-time;
  • Well organized;
  • Cooperative and easily able to get along with others;
  • Deadline and detail-oriented to ensure inventory remains at proper levels, logistics companies are processing and delivering orders and time, and orders get shipped to the proper customers on time and accurately;
  • Computer skills with email and Microsoft Office required.
This role is supervisory or managerial in nature and does lead/manage others. EOE/DFWP.
