ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Inventory Team members are instrumental for setting the store up for success. They receive inventory for both our grocery and café by following an organized and detailed company process. Then, ensure the store’s shelves are stocked and merchandised beautifully to maintain the optimal customer experience. Last, they keep a daily inventory.

The collaborative Inventory Team is a vital piece of LAG&C’s successful operation. This detail-oriented team is critical to the seamless receipt and integration of our attentively sourced products into the store. Each member of the Inventory Team is an active participant working toward our mission of exploring generative food systems.

Receiving

• Assist shippers in parking and unloading.
• Verify all incoming products and document paperwork as needed.
• Match incoming shipments with existing purchase orders and suppliers.
• Receive product quantities into inventory system.
• Organize incoming shipments.
• Separate Grocery from Café shipments and vice versa.
• Identify products to be relabeled and label as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and rotation of all areas, products and supplies.
• Prepare receiving department for opening and/or closing.
• Maintain the safety or security of receiving area and incoming merchandise.
• Maintain a clean and organized area for the storage of all products.

Inventory Maintenance

• Assist in inventory counts.
• Create inventory adjustments as needed.
• Print labels, relabel products, relabel shelves.

Restocking & Merchandising

• Stock, rotate and face products with attention to expiration dates.
• Remain attentive to product expiration dates ensuring the oldest products are sold first.
• Maintain accurate pricing and signage.
• Demonstrate familiarity of Grocery department products and their locations in the store.
• Deliver exceptional, friendly customer service when on grocery selling floor.
• Build displays and arrange department products to make attractive presentations, highlighting featured and/or unique items, as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• At least 1 year grocery, inventory, freight and/or warehouse experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with management, staff, and customers.
• Ability to follow procedures and protocols seamlessly.
• Ability to multi-task, good time management and are able to maintain a sense of urgency.
• Acute organizing and strong project management skills.
• Positive and proactive attitude.
• Interest in seasonal produce and thoughtfully sourced products is a plus.
• Exemplifies company guidelines/protocols, workplace safety and health department standards.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Possess full body mobility (bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching).
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed.

• Full-Time
• Hourly
• $19/hr - $21/hr
