Inventory Restocker, Part Time

Job Description: Happy Box is hiring an Inventory Receiver & Restocker to join our growing team in our North Bergen, New Jersey facility. This role will be receiving inventory, performing quality checks, restocking, basic warehouse upkeep and other duties. Warehouse or back of house experience is a plus. This is a Part Time role – approximately 20-30 hours per week with potential room to grow as the business grows.

Warehouse duties and overview:

• Receiving, counting and performing quality checks of new products upon arrival (daily occurrence).
• Being able to use digital applications to upload inventory counts.
• Raising awareness of any incorrect, damaged, incorrect or missing items to management team.
• Ability to move products throughout the warehouse to new locations and restocking.
• Assist with quarterly inventory count prep and recording.
• Responsible for ensuring restocking of all fulfillment items (supplies, product, etc.).
• Properly dispose of cardboard & trash while completing tasks to ensure a safe work environment.
• Ensuring warehouse area is kept clean and organized at all times.
• Being able to follow clear and concise instructions, completing tasks within allotted time frames and working solo or within a group.
• Freight elevator usage, climbing multiple flights of stairs, dropping and recovering shipments from a loading dock.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs each) to move around and organize inventory on shelving
• Repetitive lifting, bending and repetitive motions
• Pallet Jack usage experience is a plus, must be willing to learn and use in safe manner
• Ability to work on feet for long periods of time
• Ability to follow directions, finish within time frames and be able to complete tasks solo
• Must be solutions-oriented with a positive attitude! We’re looking for someone who always comes with potential solutions when escalating a problem. Must be a critical thinker and problem solver; ready and willing to roll sleeves up in an up-and-coming startup
• Very basic computer/Ipad proficiency
• Must be willing to and prepared to learn all Happy Box duties and ways of working
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Understanding of basic warehouse safety protocols and requirements (ladder usage, etc).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Team mandatory workspace cleanings upon arrival and before leaving

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.25 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
