Job description

The United States Capitol Police (USCP) safeguards the Congress, Members of Congress, employees, visitors, and Congressional buildings and grounds from crime, disruption, and terrorism. We protect and secure Congress so it can fulfill its constitutional and legislative responsibilities in a safe, secure and open environment.Qualifications:

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.

For the CP-9/GS-11 you must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least CP-8/GS-10 level, which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled, and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience is defined as experience which includes: 1) independently provide property accountability, inventory controls and acquisition planning; 2) Inventory Management and automated assessment management system experience and knowledge using the acquisition, receipt, distribution, storage, utilization, maintenance, and disposal of organizational inventory; and 3) utilize performance improvement methodologies to improve the overall management of assets; conducts analysis and uses intensive knowledge of assets to make recommendations concerning standardization.

Education: The experience requirement for CP-9/GS-11 may be met by a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B or J.D., if related.Employment Type: FULL_TIME
