JOB SUMMARY:
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for daily IWMS reviews, B3 cycle count verification, and analyzing results for discrepancies. You'll support monthly physical inventory processes, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and lead efforts for cost recovery in case of discrepancies. Your role also involves troubleshooting PDA, IWMS, and OWMS issues and collaborating with headquarters to resolve errors. You'll manage inventory change requests, research discrepancies, and update tracking documents. Additionally, you'll approve corrective action plans and ensure first-in, first-out (FIFO)
ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily oversight of IWMS (Inventory Warehouse Management System) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Verification of B3 cycle count results and in-depth analysis of discrepancies in location and quantity.
- Participation in monthly physical inventory checks.
- Tracking and monitoring KPIs to ensure they meet established targets.
- Leading the cost recovery process for KPI discrepancies.
- Troubleshooting issues with PDA, IWMS, and OWMS.
- Collaboration with HQ and relevant personnel to resolve IWMS and OWMS to SAP errors.
- Entering and managing change requests for inventory modifications in IWMS, OWMS, and SAP.
- Researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
- Updating and reviewing inventory tracking documents.
- Approving corrective action plans for inventory discrepancies.
- Ensuring the use of FIFO (First-In, First-Out) dates for small lot order selection.
- Working closely with the warehouse coordinator to verify correct homing of materials.
- Assuring that materials are appropriately placed in IWMS locations each time.
- Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to maintaining the integrity of inventory systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Expertise in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in inventory, warehouse operations, inbound and outbound shipment
- GED or high school diploma required.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of inventory techniques.
- Ability to use calculators or price lists for computations.
- Familiarity with inventory labeling and organization.
- Collaboration and teamwork.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and adapting skills.
- Knowledge of using warehouse tools, such as OWMS, IWMS, tracking systems.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to perform 5S activities.
- Initiative to initiate preventative and continuous improvement actions related to product, process, and quality systems.
- Ability to identify concerns and initiate corrective actions.
- Compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 specifications.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
- Reading and following work instructions, drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
- Documenting actions by completing corrective action, material delivery, and audit documents.
Physical Requirements:
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to travel between manufacturing facilities as required.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Lean manufacturing and continual process improvement experience.
- Experience with powered industrial vehicles, including lift trucks and tuggers.
