Busch Vacuum Solutions is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.

 

Busch Vacuum Solutions has an immediate direct hire opportunity open for an Inventory Control Lead at our headquartersin Virginia Beach, Virginia!

 

The Inventory Control Leadis responsible for monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems. Other duties include but are not limited to, recording purchases, maintaining database/systems, performing physical count of inventory, and reconciling actual stock count to computer-generated reports.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist, as necessary, with training, floor coverage, service warehousing, and remote facility warehousing
  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems. Oversees stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers. Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service to identify orders that need corrections or clarification
  • Generate and process cycle counts and research discrepancies, generate cycle count recounts as necessary
  • Perform required departmental paper-work duties
  • Assist with the implementing and maintaining of 5S and Lean activities to improve flow and reduce waste
  • Investigate errors/issues for root cause determination
  • Synchronize problem solving and maintain effective communication between departments

 

 

Required Experience

  • 2+ years related Inventory Control experience: Required
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Required
  • Working knowledge of computer-based inventory management: Required

  • Must be organized and maintain a clean and orderly workspace
  • Must possess a positive attitude, be dependable, and trustworthy
  • Work independently or as a team, as necessary, to fulfill department and Busch goals and objectives
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills in English

 

Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen, 7-year criminal history check
    • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
  • Willingness to travel domestically for training
  • Valid Drivers’ License must be maintained throughout employment that meets Busch insurance standards

 

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
  • Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching outward and/or above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 100lbs
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
