Form of workOversees the integrity of cycle counting inventory data by performing the following duties.
Conduct weekly physical cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods, packaged goods, and components (hardware) in electronic systems.
Makes recommendations for frequency of physical counts necessary in a given area based on variances in data. Generates comprehensive reports on Inventory Control findings.
Ensures bulk material & finished goods are physically & electronically accurate within inventory system
Maintains accurate records of inventory changes, including transfers and cycle counts
Identifies count discrepancies for escalation and weekly count reconciliation processes
Serves as a resource for production and purchasing related to inventory policies and procedures.
Provides accurate inventory accounts to finance in compliance will all Internal and External audits and Sarbanes Oxley guidelines
Responds to all staff questions, concerns or suggestions regarding inventory levels and configuration.
Acts as subject matter expert on Inventory Control and management
Collaborates with Buyers and Production Leads to ensure the availability and accuracy of inventory.
Determines causes of variances between computer records and physical counts, such as data entry errors, EC rule errors or worker errors due to removing inventory without notation.
Collaborates with Continuous Improvement to establish areas of opportunity to improve inventory management processes.
Prepares for and coordinates annual physical inventory of raw and finished goods
Works with Material Planners, Purchasing Department, Receiving Department and Stockroom to create reports on inventory to senior management
Must be able to work effectively with other departments on problem resolution.
