Performs a variety of functions throughout the warehouse to ensure inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):
- Performs cycle counting to ensure accurate inventory count.
- Catalogs products, which have missed being cataloged or were cataloged incorrectly.
- Deletes catalog products. Picks and brings products to cataloging department.
- Reviews VAS flag report and corrects problems.
- Processes returned shipments refused by publishers. Works with publishers to accept shipments and reship.
- Processes Exception receiving.
- Performs maintenance on problem products.
- Conducts dot investigations.
- Returns products to stock.
- Adds new titles and associated data to Sales Order Management file. Deletes titles and associated data that belong to other departments.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school education and three to twelve months experience.
- Terminal and keyboard skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers or employees.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions and deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
