Summary: Under the supervision of the Production Manager, the Inventory Control Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all inventory receiving, inventory location transfers, scheduling and conducting periodic inventory cycle and physical counts, and allocating the consumption of raw materials and packaging materials to production batch tickets in the inventory management system.
This is a full-time, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM position that requires the incumbent to be able to work flexible hours for the shift to start and/or end 2 hours earlier or later than scheduled to meet business needs; will need to work Saturdays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESJob Tasks/Duties (not all inclusive):
- Verify all vendor lot codes for all quantities of raw material and packaging received.
- Ensure all quantities of raw materials and packaging match the purchase order quantities ordered; any exceptions are to be immediately communicated to the purchasing director and the plant manager.
- Ensure all quantities of raw materials and packaging are received in the correct inventory location.
- Process inventory transfers between locations in real time and verify that inventory lot codes and quantities physically transferred match the inventory lot codes and quantities in the inventory management system.
- Report any inventory discrepancies between the system quantities transferred and physical quantities on hand to the controller immediately.
- Schedule weekly cycle counts for multiple locations based on the raw material and packaging items used in current week's production.
- Identify the source of all inventory variances discovered during cycle counting; audit receiving and/or production records to ensure root cause of discrepancies is mitigated and eliminated.
- Ensure that all inventories are cycle counted at least once monthly and all discrepancies are identified and settled within the current month of operation.
- Participate in semi-annual full complete physical inventory of multiple locations.
- Coordinate and organize inventory count teams based on approved written procedures.
- Work with outside auditors to ensure integrity in inventory count processes.
- Reconcile discrepancies between physical and inventory system counts.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of production consumption of inventory to include verification that all batch tickets are filled out completely and that all information needed for the accurate allocation of raw materials and packaging is readily available for the recording of production consumption; return any incomplete paperwork to the plant manager to be completed immediately.
- Verify that inventory quantities and inventory vendor lot codes allocated in the inventory system matches the actual vendor lot codes of inventory used in production.
- Verify that all quantities of raw materials and packaging are fully accounted for and are accurately allocated to the correct production batch ticket.
- File the receiving paperwork numerically by purchase order number, file inventory transfer documents and the production consumption documents numerically and close out daily.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year's experience working with inventory management systems; preferably ERP and BME.
- High school diploma with some college courses.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently. Spanish speaking a plus but not required.
- Must have intermediate knowledge and demonstrate at an intermediate level the use of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and a high level of math acumen.
- Available to work flexible hours and some weekends.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
