Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Inventory Assistant/Customer Service Representative. This role will primarily involve supporting the inventory management process and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and update inventory systems accordingly.
- Prepare and process orders for shipment, including picking, packing, and labeling products.
Customer Service:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process customer orders, track shipments, and provide updates on delivery status.
- Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, order status, and customer inquiries as needed.
- Assist in analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement in inventory management and customer service processes.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and sales, to support company objectives.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate activities and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in inventory management, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
