Position: Inventory Analyst

About This Role:
The Inventory Analyst provides integral support to the merchandising department in a home furnishing retail environment. From entering product information and purchase orders to tracking line ups and rebuying, this position handles most steps in the product cycle while supporting the Merchandising Managers and Director of Merchandising. This position is responsible for running and analyzing reports to highlight trends, age inventory, review vendor performance and much more. This individual must be detailed and efficient while able to have lots of fun!
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business related program preferred, or equivalent levels of education and work experience.
- Proven experience in inventory analysis, demand forecasting, and supply chain management.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent computer skills

- Ability to analyze inventory statistics using software programs

Duties and Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze demand flow data to assist in buying/rebuying decisions Conduct regular analysis of demand flow, inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock aging.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand market trends and customer demands to assist in buying/rebuying decisions.
- Use historical data and forecasting tools to predict future demand for products.
- Conduct periodic audits to verify inventory accuracy.
- Rebuy for furniture. Place purchase orders based on demand forecasts and inventory policies.
- Attend merchandise meetings, communicating insights and recommendations to management.
- Enter 999 store sales for product flow, as well as market purchase and stock orders.
- Pull details for new Stock Keeping Units (SKUs), such as starting at, dimensions, etc.
- Maintain furniture line ups by working closely with merchandising buyers.
- Provide details to Merchandise Assistant to get photos/cuttings to all stores for feature walls.
- Analyze the age of inventory and recommend items for mark down process (Moved/combined with 1)
- Send new markdowns to Marketing.
- Create merchandise transfers and floor planning for stores as needed, which includes the main floors, Clearance Center and Budget Areas.
- Product tagging and pricing. Create, assign and manage tags/labels for each product, including pricing and, if needed, other descriptive information.
- Review Open POs Furniture/Mattresses to track status and determine if orders are still needed
- Use Tools2Win for rebuying, trends, best sellers, etc. Understand and use the Tools2Win program to its fullest capabilities, including rebuying, trends analysis, best sellers, etc.
- Alert Tools2Win team to new vendors, family code issues, tech errors.
- Review "Backordered but In-Stock" reports as received and take corrective action as needed.
- Market Prep Reporting.
- Run any reports needed by Merchandise team to help make product/vendor decisions
- Generate other reports on a regular or as needed basis to assist in product/vendor decisions, such as market prep reporting, key inventory performance metrics, etc.
- Review "Nailed Items" reports on a quarterly basis.
- Enter new vendors into Profit and regularly update E-Commerce.
- Enter/Receive non inventory SKUs, as needed.
- Handle and oversee flow of merchandise to Warehouses, recommending and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Mark products as discontinued in company software, as needed.
- Ensure compliance with inventory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform various duties as assigned.
