Interviewing Multiple Special Education Teachers (K-12) in Pawtucket
ProCare has a need for a Special Education teachers to workself-contained in Pawtucketfor theremainder of the 23/24SY.We needteachers who have experience or are able to teach within the K-12th grade age ranges. We have needs for teachers are the elementary, middle and high school level.
With a successfully completed contract for the remainder of 23/24SY the school will want to renew for the 24/25SY.
Job Details:

• Elementary, middle and high school ages
• Small caseloads
• Varying needs
• Direct support services
• Full Time
• In person
• Para-professionals and CNAs in class for support (as needed)
• Pay starts at $30/hr but increases based on experience and caseload

As a Special Education teacher in Rhode Island, your job responsibilities will include:

• Developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with needs in your classroom.
• Creating and implementing lesson plans that are tailored to the needs and abilities of your students.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress, and adjusting instruction accordingly.
• Providing accommodations and modifications to support student learning.
• Collaborating with other educators, parents, and administrators to provide a comprehensive education experience for students with disabilities.
• Maintaining accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
• Ensuring that all materials and instruction comply with state and federal regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Education or a related field. Master's degrees are given highest consideration
• The school WILL consider pending licensure with an experienced candidate
• Hold avalid Special Education teaching certificate from the Rhode Island Department of Education
• It is essential to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening
