Peregrine Team is hiring for an Interventional Rad Tech in Newport Beach, CA. This position is a full-time, contract to hire role with full benefits and competitive pay.
$23 - $26/hour
Job Duties:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist II works in collaboration with the technical supervisor and medical director to provide high quality diagnostic special procedures and interventional studies.
The technologist provides education to the patient/family about these procedures, as well as pre/post procedure instructions as applicable.
The technologist efficiently and accurately documents all procedures, patient related events, and equipment issues.
Call responsibility is required.
All Interventional Radiology Technologists project an image of professionalism in communication,
appearance and conduct and support the Radiology Department mission.They participate in the continuous quality improvement process while maintaining a working knowledge and following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation and quality control requirements, as well as specific regulatory requirements of Title 22, California Licensing & Certification of Health Facilities and Title 17, California Radiation Control Regulations.
Performs all routine and advanced special procedure and Interventional Radiology exams.
Completes two (2) units of mandatory stroke specific training/education annually as required
Performs other dues as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree or higher - Required
Graduate of an ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program - Required
Three years continuous hospital experience in special procedures/Interventional Radiology or equivalent - Required
California State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License (CRTXR) and Fluoroscopy license (CRTFL) - Required
Current BLS Certification - Required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Radiology certification (RTR) - Required
Current ARRT post-primary certification in Vascular Interventional (VI) - Preferred
Current Radiography Certification - Preferred
Epic experience - Preferred
Fluoroscopy procedures and charting experience - Preferred
Shift: 30 hours- 4x8
