Primary responsibility is to provide instructional resource services at the middle (7/8) school level, primarily in Math. In collaboration with the school principal, assistant principal, lead teacher, and/or classroom teacher, the Intervention Resource Teacher will plan the instruction and work with individual, small groups and/or whole classes of students in providing direct instruction. Students identified may or may not be remediation students depending upon the need of support in a particular classroom. The IRT would also collaborate with the classroom teacher in gathering data and using the data to adjust and monitor instruction for the identified students.
Qualifications:
- Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Current Virginia teacher license preferred.
- Experience as a teacher required.
- Possess strong communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Able to use instructional technology tools in the classroom.
- Ability to work with others and willing to take direction and be flexible.
Salary: (Non-Contract Pay)
- IRT - $25.00 per hour
