Interpreter

ACTIVELY CONTRACTING fluent bilingual speakers as Independent Contractors / FREELANCEER INTERPRETERS for Onsite, Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) and Over the Phone Interpreting (OPI). Interpreter will provide interpretation in different fields such as education, medical, social services, legal, court and etc.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately Interpret between English and (applicable) language.
• Maintain professional Decorum.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service.
• Adhere to the Interpreter Code Of Conducts.
• Use culture awareness and identify cultural context and interpret into words that others understand.
• Act as the liaison

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and (applicable) languages in both written and spoken forms.

Must know the structure of the English and Target Language, including the meaning and spelling of English words, rules of composition, and grammar.

• 1-3 Years experience in Professional Interpreting as a Freelance Interpreter.
• Proficient in basic computer skill including but not limited to emails, scheduling system, zoom, Microsoft teams and etc.

Education

• high school diploma or equivalent

Certifications are required such as CMI, CHI, CCHI, NBCMI Court Certification and/or Interpreting certificate from an interpreting school. and /or hours of training.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States and be 18years or older.
• Be prepared to have a virtual interview. - 20 min
• Be prepared for virtual New Contractor Orientation Session, within the same week of onboarding.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
