Form of workYieldstreet is looking for Interns to join our dynamic Tax team, reporting directly to the Tax Manager. We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated interest in Accounting and a proven track record of excellence.
This is a paid opportunity, offering a rate of $20 per hour and is open to Junior, Senior, and Graduate students located in New York. The position will be located in our NYC office, with a requirement for in-office presence three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday). The start date for this role is as soon as possible.

What you'll do:
- Analyze investor and entity data for accuracy
- Support tax professional with preparing and reviewing tax returns and financial reports
- Ensure tax filings & payments are made timely with guidance from our tax professional
- Assist in responding to tax notices
- Help maintain spreadsheets and project trackers
- Plan internal and external meetings
- Join tax related meetings and assist with preparing tax planning strategies
- Ability to analyze financial data and understand its tax implications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Very organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable seeking guidance as needed
- Willingness to learn from and contribute to a collaborative work environment
- Ability to clearly communicate via email and during calls/meetings
- Junior or Senior pursuing accounting degree; Graduate student preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft office products, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Basic understanding of tax concepts
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate busy seasons
