Job Summary:
Under the direction of the IT Director, the IT Systems Intern will be responsible for providing excellent client experiences and develop software for the business in a prompt and professional manner. Daily tasks will include helpdesk support, Computer setups, Programming with .NET framework/C# language and other IT based responsibilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provide first level telephone support and problem resolution.
  2. Install and test necessary software and hardware.
  3. Installing, configuring and maintaining computers and related hardware and software
  4. Assisting developer team to design, code and test code for business applications
  5. Develop ASP.NET MVC applications under the direction of the developer team
  6. Assist with SharePoint site development
  7. Identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems
  8. Provide remote IT support with remote control software.
  9. Hardware supported will include Lenovo and Dell desktops and laptops, HP printers and copiers. Provides users with network, PC and software technical support.
  10. Read or listen to client problems and collect necessary information to identify and resolve technical issues.
  11. Follow strict privacy policies, complete regular database maintenance tasks, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  12. Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
  • Must possess proven problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and be organized
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and on a team
  • Flexible in handling assignments and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment.

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:
  • Must be a current enrolled student in a Computer Science related program
  • Must have the desire to work in the Information Technology field
  • Knowledge of C#
  • Knowledge of .NET 4.5+
  • Knowledge of developing ASP.NET MVC applications
  • Knowledge of SQL, LINQ, Razor, HTML JS and CSS
  • Familiarity with SharePoint
  • Must have knowledge of Windows, personal computers, and other IT hardware.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows
  • Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work independently
