Job Mission
An internship at ASML is a great opportunity to learn about working in a corporate setting and to provide hands on experience solving real world problems in a team environment. We are looking for a candidate who can help develop next generation methods for engineering analysis of Multiphysics problems.

Job Description
  • Specific tasks will be tailored to match the education / experience level of the intern and current needs of ASML analysis team, e.g. Reduced Order Modeling (ROM), uncertainty quantification (UQ), CFD post-processing
  • Work in a team environment alongside experienced engineers to achieve intern project goals
  • Document project and present the results to ASML analysis stakeholders

Education and Experience
  • Current active MS/PhD students in Science or Engineering - Mechanical, Chemistry / Materials Science, Data Science or related field of Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Experience using OpenFOAM / SnappyHexMesh or StarCCM+ software
  • Strong computing skills, including experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Have strong written and oral communicative skills
  • Be a demonstrated "team player" with a quality orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Have strong problem solving skills and the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • This position is located on-site in San Diego. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $17.00 - $53.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
