Job Overview
We are seeking an International Shipping Coordinator to add to our talented team. This position is responsible for coordinating the daily international shipments while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing our products' exports.
The International Shipping Coordinator will work collaboratively with teams to execute exports in a timely manner. We are seeking an individual who has strong communication skills, is a team player, highly organized, and detail oriented.
This position reports to the Manager, Account Services & International Logistics and is based out of our Olathe, Kansas location.

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.

This position reports to the Manager, Account Services & International Logistics and is based out of our Olathe, Kansas location.
As the International Shipping Coordinator, you will have the opportunities to:
- Collaborate with Production Planning, Operation, Account Services, and Sales to deliver products to end customers.
- Arrange transportation including air, ocean, and truck. Track shipments as required.
- Adhere to the International Shipping SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and shipping compliance checklist to execute exports.
- Process and audit freight documents to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure physical shipment attributes match required export documentation.
- Work closely with the Trade Compliance Department to resolve issues.
- Communicate proactively with internal and external customers on shipping delay.
- Communicate proactively with customers' selected freight forwarders to facilitate booking and shipping.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ year transportation experience
- Current IATA, IMDG and DOT (49 CFR) hazardous materials shipping certifications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills, and multitasking skills.
- Independent thinker and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills (intermediate level) including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of INCOTERMS
- Knowledge of duty drawback
- Knowledge of the application of the HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule numbers, ECCN (Export Control Classification Numbers) and EEI (Electronic Export Information) filings.
