The University of Lynchburg, a private regional university, located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in central Virginia is seeking a full-time Applications Processing Coordinator to join our Enrollment Services team.

JOB PURPOSE:
The primary focus of this position is to build strong relationships with prospective students, guiding and assisting them through the selection, application, admission, and enrollment processes. This position represents the institution to prospective students and families and contributes to the achievement of our enrollment goals. This role specifically focuses on working with students outside of the United States.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Serve as the primary Admissions Counselor to international students from prospect stage through enrollment.
Utilize email, phone, and other outreach to prospective students to build relationships, answer questions, and assist through International Admissions processes that lead to enrollment.
Review international applicants, including international transcript and financial documentation review and evaluation and make admissions decisions appropriately.
Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) to update and maintain student records through the Student and Exchange Visitor System (SEVIS) in accordance with the Department of Homeland Security laws and regulations.
Serve as a primary person for issuance of I-20 documents. Guide students through the I-20-related materials, documents, international visa paperwork and processes.
Build and maintain relationships with international partners and agencies to grow and sustain international recruitment efforts.
Use the Customer Relationship Management system, Slate, to track interactions and conversations in order to personalize outreach.
Participate as an active member in appropriate national and regional organizations for professional development.
Serve on campus committees and working groups for programs related to enrollment and student development such as orientation, leadership institute, retention, etc.
Work on special projects that help support enrollment goals.
Perform other duties as may be required.

Schedule:
8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
Much time sitting in front of a computer screen while performing computer data input, consulting with co-workers
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, recruitment, coaching, or other goal-oriented role
Valid driver’s license
International admissions or support experience strongly preferred
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree
