POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible to perform various tests and analyze test results to enable the Auditor to express an opinion on the effectiveness of Management Control Systems in various processes of the Bank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Review and test accuracy of various management reports.
  2. Review account activity in employee accounts.
  3. Document management processes and controls for various areas.
  4. Perform tests designed to assess the reliability of selected controls in areas that are approved by the Audit Committee annually.
  5. Review and analyze results of test performed to submit to Auditor.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Three (3) to five (5) years general banking experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Critical analysis skills as Root Cause Analysis, Control Identifications, etc.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
High school diploma or GED required.
Accounting I.
JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports detailing testing results to management and the Board of Directors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to document processes in various areas of the Bank.
  • Ability to conduct interviews with management and staff.
  • Ability to perform a variety of testing strategies, including re-performance of tasks.
  • Ability to identify potential control weaknesses in various processes throughout the organization.
  • Ability to research various topics relating to banking processes.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Individuals in the Staff Auditor position must be able to perform essential functions and physical demands within these documented working conditions with or without reasonable accommodation:
This position is in an office environment within a climate-controlled facility that can be high-traffic during peak service times. There is frequent use of the telephone, computer and other office equipment associated with this position. Individuals in this position are typically seated at their personal desk for the majority of the day.
The individual responsible for this role must be able to perform job functions with general supervision and work effectively as a member of a team and independently. The individual must be capable of working harmoniously with diverse personalities of co-workers, staff and customers. This position requires regular and reliable attendance and the ability to work varying hours.
