JOB SUMMARY:

IES Residential is seeking an experienced Internal Recruiter to handle recruitment for KEP Electric, a subsidiary of IESR in Ohio. In this role, you must be experienced in sourcing, screening, and evaluating candidates for open positions. Generally, the recruiting focus will be primarily in electrical and possibly HVAC trades. Creating an amazing candidate experience and setting the tone of our company culture at the beginning is a vital step in our recruitment process. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs for every role, and to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
  • Manage the full recruiting life-cycle across a variety of open roles, helping manager find, hire, and retain quality candidates
  • Update and/or modify job descriptions to fit the division hiring
  • Advertise job openings through different platforms such as company career page, job boards and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn and Zip Recruiter)
  • Screen resumes and applications and update candidates on hiring processes
  • Assist and support hiring managers with scheduling interviews; assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with divisions managers and/or hiring managers.
  • Report to hiring managers on the status of open positions
  • Answer candidates’ queries regarding the application process
  • Participate in job fairs, visiting trade schools and colleges to boost company’s reputation
  • Help new hires on-board

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as an Internal Recruiter or similar role; recruitment experience in construction trades a plus!
  • Ability to build relationships with division managers and personnel of different backgrounds
  • Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in-person)
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Must have positive attitude; ability to be encouraging, positive and realistic about potential matches.
  • Must have good research techniques; ability to multi-task effectively in finding candidates through professional candidate job search sites such as Indeed, LinkedIn and Zip Recruiter successfully.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Strong people skills and ability to foster good relationships.
  • Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
  • HR background a plus!
