Job Summary:

As an Internal Communication and Engagement Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of fostering a positive and connected work environment within our organization. This multifaceted role combines Internal Communications, employee engagement, HR support, marketing collaboration, event planning, and administrative responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1.  Internal Communication:
  • Develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to ensure consistent and timely dissemination of information across the organization.
  • Create engaging content for internal communication channels, including newsletters, email updates, digital displays, and intranet platforms.
  • Collaborate with HR, Marketing, and other departments to gather relevant information and align messaging for Internal Communications.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of communication materials and templates to maintain a consistent brand image.
  1. Employee Engagement:
  • Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement and promote a positive work culture.
  • Coordinate and contribute to the planning and execution of employee events, recognition programs, and team-building activities.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of employee surveys and feedback mechanisms to gauge employee satisfaction and gather insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop and promote employee wellness programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and employee development opportunities.
  1. HR and Administrative Support:
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including managing employee records, assisting with recruitment activities, and coordinating training sessions.
  • Assist in drafting internal announcements, policies, and procedures.
  • Support HR initiatives such as onboarding, offboarding, and performance management processes.
  • Help maintain employee databases and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  1. Marketing Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to align internal and external messaging, ensuring consistency in branding and communication style.
  • Collaborate on the creation of promotional materials, presentations, and internal campaigns.
  • Support the dissemination of marketing materials to internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Communications, HR, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and experience with graphic design tools such as Canva or Photoshop.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with an eye for design and visual aesthetics.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Personal vehicle and reliable transportation is required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required to read and interpret documents, instructions, and manuals, as well as to communicate effectively.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

The ability to apply logical thinking to execute instructions and resolve problems is crucial.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Applicants must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The role requires regular standing, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally. The incumbent must also be able to perform duties in varying work conditions, such as confined spaces.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and the role may occasionally require exposure to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.
