Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Internal Audit Associate might include the following:
- Initiate kickoff meeting with the client and determine timelines, goals, and expectations for the engagement.
- Lead and perform gaming Internal Audit compliance procedures for clients based on the regulations of the Nevada Gaming Commission and Nevada Gaming Control Board.
- Lead and perform AML/Title 31 examinations for gaming clients.
- Assist with gaming industry-related consulting and compliance projects for clients in multiple jurisdictions.
- Network, build relationships, and attract new clients or business to the Firm.
- Attend training seminars, professional development and industry events.
Who You Are
- You are inquisitive and enjoy learning about various client casino processes and traveling to different locations to assist clients (10–15 percent travel is required in the role).
- You are a multi-tasking master, and there has never been a deadline you could not meet.
- You enjoy being a part of a team and collaborating with others.
- You hold yourself to the highest professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
- You have experience with Nevada gaming statutes, regulations, and internal control standards.
Additionally, experience with BSA, AML, and Title 31 requirements within the gaming industry is preferred.
In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelor's degree and experience in public accounting, gaming regulatory, and/or Internal Audit work.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
