Our company was founded by an entrepreneur whose daughter was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition. She sought to find treatment options and a cure for her daughter and patients like her. The selected intern will need to report onsite at the Jacksonville, FL site for the entire duration of the program which runs from May through August 2024. United Therapeutics does not provide housing or transportation. A stipend for relocation assistance may be provided on a case-by-case basis.

Program Details:
  • All internships are paid, up to 40 hours/week.
  • Interns are responsible for arranging their housing and transportation. A relocation stipend may be provided for non-local candidates. Determinations will be made on a case-by-case basis.
  • 2024 Internship Program Dates:
    • Monday, May 13 - Friday, August 9
    • Monday, May 20 - Friday August 16

How you'll contribute
The Lung Bioengineering Intern will support the team's data and business analytics projects, the development of clinical equipment lifecycle management program and analysis of other research efforts.
  • Conduct Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion (EVLP) analytics and business analytics
  • Support Animal R&D project
  • Help establish clinical equipment lifecycle management tools
  • Analyze and perform research in support of determining relevant biomarkers
  • Perform all other duties as required

For this role you will need
Minimum Requirements
  • For Intern Level:
    • Must be a rising junior or senior currently enrolled in an accredited college program in biotechnology, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or other science related discipline
  • For Advanced Intern Level:
    • Must be currently enrolled in an advanced degree program in biotechnology, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or other science related discipline
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week onsite in the Jacksonville, FL site
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite
