Summary of Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the R&D Architecture Team, this role contributes to the overall mission of establishing a future-proof architecture and associated IT services for the R&D function.
Some of the key activities the intern will participate in include:
- Technical analysis and issue resolution of complex and critical solutions with production R&D systems.
- Work with vendor, technical resources, and review their delivery of software solutions and associated documentation.
- Ensure the technical solutions comply with the relevant life science regulatory requirements, cybersecurity, compliance, and with the legal requirements of Eisai.
- Additionally, the intern will participate in Big Data Solution Architecture working directly with the Data Engineering Team to provide things like ingestion pipelines using AWS cloud infrastructure and relevant coding tools.
Some of the core deliverables the contender in role will help to contribute are as follows:
- Work closely with R&D Architecture Team to build and maintain the R&D IT systems Roadmaps.
- Contribute to the establishment of R&D IT Architecture, software development, technical design and documentation standards as a reference for all new system implementation.
- Assist with the adoption of industry standard tools like Jira, Confluence, and Mural as they apply to solutions architecture and Agile design.
Key Skills:
- Solid analytical and critical thinking
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience using Excel, Word, Email and Presentation tools
- Knowledge of Python, YAML, SQL, R
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must be going into their Junior or Senior year of college with a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, and Information Systems Management
