The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team's success, learn about JM Family's companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more.
The ideal candidate will be available to work full time hours during the Summer Internship Program (June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024).
The SET Fixed OperationsIntern will gain experience working on projects and assignments that relate to SET - Fixed Operations (Parts and Service). This internship will provide opportunities for personal and professional development while working in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Participate and contribute as an active member of the SET Fixed Operations, Core and Extended team.
- Interact with the different departments within Fixed Operations to provide services and support to help drive dealer profitability for parts and service.
- Provide support for internal leadership to identify and communicate growth strategies in the parts and service space.
- Engage with the team to provide support for projects and initiatives that are part of the Fixed Operations strategic roadmap.
- Provide support to the Fixed Operations field team as needed to execute dealer facing initiatives.
- Conduct competitive research and sourcing via social media platforms; specifically, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Provide suggestions on how to expand current strategies to support the 177 SET dealer efforts to drive technician recruitment and retention.
- Contribute to design and execution of dealer facing training for technician certification and Fixed Operations associated development.
Qualifications:
- Our ideal candidate will be available to work on-site at our Deerfield Beach, FL offices for the duration of our 10-week summer program.
- Actively enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate degree-seeking program at an accredited college or university.
- Minimum completion of at least one semester of classes; relevant and completed coursework in Sales, Employer Branding, Marketing, or Business Operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Candidates should be detail oriented, creative, curious, and willing to contribute as a team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher.
- Familiarity with the MS Power Suite of products is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to support cross-functional communications with a wide variety of individuals, including external / internal partners; and ability to conduct presentations.
