The Trusted Device Access (TDA) team is looking for a Security Engineering intern to help build and expand our internal authorization platform. The intern will work closely with senior security engineers to build out the next generation of authorization platform capabilities at Cruise to ensure only trusted devices can access our apps and infrastructure. The intern will develop tools and primitives to enable other engineers at Cruise to integrate robust authentication into their applications, creating delightful user experiences and interactions with well-integrated security tooling.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
1. Joining a team of engineers dedicated to implementing our zero-trust strategy: Trusted Device Access
2. Building out the next generation of authorization platform capabilities at Cruise to ensure only trusted devices can access our apps and infrastructure
3. Building tools and primitives to enable other engineers at Cruise to integrate robust authentication into their applications
4. Creating delightful user experiences and interactions with well-integrated security tooling
5. Building automation to make security more accessible for end users while leveraging open source technologies and configuration management tooling
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
1. Fundamentals of computer science and/or cybersecurity
2. Experience writing functional, maintainable, testable code in at least one of the following: Go, Rust, Python, Java, or Node.js

The salary range for this position is $28.00 - 68.00/hour. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
