THE OPPORTUNITY:

Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.

 

The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months.  LEAP prepares sccessfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units.  Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship. 

 

PROGRAM DETAILS:

An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora's career growth opportunities.

 

2024 PROGRAM DATES:

  • June 3 - August 16
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, PST
  • June 17 - 20:  On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office 
  • July 1 - 5: Week off for vacation

 

POSITION TITLE: [Intern, Product Management - Shopping Experience]

YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA...

As the [Intern, Product Management - Shopping Experience], you will help shape the future of Sephora's digital Shopping Experience by leveraging market research and conducting competitive analysis to help drive our strategic planning. Partnering with Product Managers and Business stakeholders, you'll support the ideation phase of a key strategic initiative by understanding the core user problem(s) we're aiming to address and the critical KPIs we'd like to drive. You'll use industry research and insights to understand consumer trends and expectations and analyze our competitive positioning within the market to help propel our product roadmap forward with data-driven decision making.

 

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Partner with various teams across the organization (Product Management; Client Experience; Content & Marketing; Analytics; Legal; etc.) to understand business objectives and user problem(s) we aim to solve
  • Conduct market research for a specific user problem/feature across Sephora's competitors and eCommerce retail leaders
  • Synthesize research data & insights into actionable recommendations for features to consider
  • Prioritize features based on business needs and targeted KPIs
  • Share data findings and insights as a final presentation

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Graduating in 2024 or 2025 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
  • Remote & hybrid program - work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time  
  • Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.  
  • Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
  • Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA 

 

*hybrid positions = require part of work week days in the SF headquarters office

 

The target hourly pay for this position is $23.00 - $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the individual applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
