Intern - Manufacturing Finance

Job Summary
We currently have an opportunity for a Summer 2024 M Finance Intern to join the Manufacturing team at our Melrose Park, IL facility.
Responsibilities

• To help support North American controlling and commercial operations in the form of accounting, finance, financial analysis and ad hoc projects related to the production's units for North American manufacturing.
• Be an integral support in day-to-day accounting operations, and month end close functions.
• Assist in weekly/monthly reporting and pulling data for KPI performance metrics or for month end performance reviews.
• Assist in budgeting / forecasting process per mid-year. (6+6 forecast will land in mid-summer, assist in forecasting remaining 6 years of the 2024 fiscal year).
• Help replicate existing models or analysis needed to be performed monthly or weekly.
• Work towards building modeling and learning the skills to be successful in future roles with regards to finance and accounting.
• Help support any team member with any ad hoc projects related to controlling.
• Key individuals to be working with include controllers of each plant, finance managers, accounting managers, Sr. Accountants and Sr. Analysts.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around working with all of these individuals in a one on one basis and will allow you to gain relevant work related exposure to how your day to day can look if you chose this career path in Corporate America.

Requirements

• Must have or working towards Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, business management/business administration with specialization in finance or accounting.
• Must have beginner to intermediate levels of Excel skills.
• Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university program, pursuing a business-related degree
• Be classified as a minimum of a sophomore
• Must be planning to return to school at the end of his/her break
• Intern candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S.
• Our internships are unable to accommodate OPT.
• Interns are responsible for their own housing.
