What You'll Do

•  Research topics including - leverage pruning and quantization for accelerated Machine Learning computing, design smaller scale language / visual models without compromising on performance
• Develop algorithms to advance research in efficient training and inference of large AI models.
• Implement and validate the algorithms in various scenarios and hardware environments.
• Conduct a literature survey on related work.
• Implement baselines and related technologies for evaluation.
• Prepare written reports and oral presentation on the progress.
• Publish the algorithms and results in top tier conferences in Machine Learning.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time 

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing Ph.D. (or highly qualified M.S.) in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field 
• Strong research experience in Machine Learning, computer vision, and/or natural language processing 
• Experience in open-source deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow 
• Preferred - Experience in one or more of the following:
• large language / visual models, generative foundation models, efficient AI computing (network pruning, weight quantization tensor decomposition, etc.), DNN acceleration 
• Publications in top-tier conferences (ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, etc.) preferred
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art DNN workloads and their compute and memory requirements  preferred
