JOB SUMMARY: The Intern, Finance will provide support on a variety of projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in second line risk management effective challenge and operating model with finance
- Assist Finance with special projects including, but not limited to, interest rate risk management, liquidity, and capital
- Assist Finance with peer and industry analysis on key financial risk and profitability metrics
- Participate in meetings
- Identify areas of improvement within the department and/or team
- Communicate effectively and interact with manager
- Shadow multiple employees and train in a variety of tasks
- Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
- Complete additional projects on an ad hoc basis to support the team
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Currently pursuing a master's degree
- Prior work experience in financial services, investments, banking, or other related fields
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- High proficiency with Excel modeling and other Microsoft Office products
- Acute attention to detail with the ability to think critically and independently
- Exceptional attitude and commitment to teamwork
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interest or experience with banking or financial institutions strongly preferred
- Sit or stand at a desk
- Walk, stoop down, crouch, kneel or bend over
- Use hands and fingers
- Utilize a computer monitor with visual acuity
- Operate technology and other office machinery such as printers, fax machines, scanners, etc.
- Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with others
