Job Summary
Flagstar Bank is looking for an intern to join our Enterprise Data Management and Analysis and Operations team over the summer. As a Flagstar Intern you will have the opportunity to learn the daily functions and operations of our Enterprise Data Management and Analysis department. During this time, you will interact with team members and leaders to gain real-world experience by working alongside our team to learn our processes and improve efficiencies while expanding on the core concepts introduced throughout your college classes. Throughout your internship you will participate in multiple engagement sessions designed to enhance your career outlook, communication skills, and business knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
Intern will be involved in supporting all of the Enterprise Data Management Analytics projects.
Intern will be responsible for project Management and coordination activities including analyzing and planning project schedules and tasks. Reporting status to leadership. Assisting with creation of project deliverables required as part of Flagstar's defined system development process.
Intern will also be responsible for business analysis activities including working with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and document those in user stories.
Intern will also have the opportunity to analyze large data sets using SQL queries.

Job Requirements:
- HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent Required
- Current college/university student or recent graduate pursing a major in IT, or related area of study required.
- College courses in IT, Oracle Database or Project Management a plus but not required.
- Interested in learning about Data Warehouse, Oracle, Datastage ETL, Project Management and Business Analysis.
- Motivated to learn and improve operational processes.
- Able to demonstrate solid writing and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and have a strong attention to detail.
- Adjusts positively to quickly-changing priorities and shifting goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong numeric and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage projects in an effective and productive manner.
