JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a bright self-starter to help develop and test environmental sensor technology in the Advanced Technology group at InvenSense's San Jose headquarters. This position will cover multiple projects, so we are looking for a versatile candidate who can carry out a variety of laboratory tasks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain test setup including gas cylinders, mass flow controllers, test chambers, etc.
• Run experiments using specialized equipment and benchtop electronics (DMM, power supply, NI DAQ, audio analyzer, etc.)
• Modify LabView automated data collection system
• Analyze collected data
• For a candidate with the appropriate skills, responsibilities may include improving a printed circuit design and layout
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Device Physics, Materials Science, or similar subject
• Experience using standard electrical lab equipment and data acquisition systems
• Experience with test automation software such as LabView
• Experience with data analysis using software such as Python, Matlab, or JMP
• Minimum 1 year experience with any of the above
ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS
• Experience with circuit design and PCB layout
• Experience with 3D printers (e.g., Prusa), and 3D modeling software (e.g., Autodesk)
• Experience with audio testing equipment
• Experience with optical bench equipment
• Knowledge of gas sensing methods or other surface chemistry applications
• Experience with MEMS
• Heat transfer knowledge
• Experience with machine learning and/or TensorFlow
• Experience with Unix systems and their file system configuration
