Intern - Electrical Engineer

PAID SUMMER INTERNSHIP: $20.00/Hour
Target 11-week Internship Dates: 5/20/24 - 8/1/24
(4-10 work schedule M-Th 7am - 5:30pm)

1. Participate with other Electrical and Electrical Controls Engineers in executing construction and design work.
2. Become familiar with how design work is performed from an equipment owners perspective.
3. Participate in performing arc flash studies and mitigation designs.
4. Help review and approve project as-built phase in project closeout.
5. Become familiar with and apply field construction safety standards.
6. At end of the 11-week engagement, the intern will prepare and deliver a presentation which includes:
   1. A summary of the work completed
   2. What they learned
   3. An evaluation of the intern experience at CAP
   4. Recommendations for future interns

• Junior or higher-level student (or recent grad) working toward a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. May be an undergrad or grad student.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Clear oral communication skills and team leadership ability.
• Ability to multi-task, adapt to various personality types, and function in a rapidly moving multi-disciplinary environment.
• Must submit transcripts (unofficial or official) with the online application.
• Must be legally authorized to work a paid internship in the United States.
