Project: Analyze an advanced signal processing algorithm that is capable of assessing display flicker often occurring in computer game monitors

- Experience in human trial visual testing BT.500
- ISO/IEC 29170-2 and like
What You'll Do
- Understand the problem to be solved and make anecdotal trials with modern computer games
- Conduct test verification to correlative objective and human trial subjective test results.
- Learn wavelet signal processing as applied to games with a signal processing expert
- Report analysis and algorithm trial
- Execute visual test trial
- Present findings and improvements to the Display Lab and win acceptance for external publication.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time
What You Bring
- Pursuing Master's or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Vision or Color Science or related field
- Experience in EE systems or signal processing
- Computer language skills in Matlab
- Programming in C, C++ or Python preferred
- Experience conducting and designing a human trial subjective test preferred
- Experience in visual sciences including color, perception vs. display rendering, and statistical analysis of experiments preferred
- Record of academic or industry publications preferred
