Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE: As a Student Advisor in the Student Advisory Council, you will be part of a nationwide team of student leaders from College & Career Prep programs, your school's Career Learning leaders, and the Stride corporate marketing team. Student Advisors have a passion for their career pathway and are excited to share their exploration and education experience with others. You will be able to share your insights and perspective with prospective students and families, local leaders, and industry professionals. Student Advisors will have opportunities to try new things, get noticed, and be helpful contributors. Student Advisors will get exposure to a corporate marketing department and executives, social media and marketing experience, and insight into real product development business processes. You will also get networking opportunities with colleges, company executives, and fellow interns across the country. The internship will result in experiences and projects to feature on your resume or college application, as well as the development of leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
As a member of the Student Advisory Council, you will be a brand ambassador for your school's College & Career Prep program, sharing your experiences as you're exploring careers, taking career courses, preparing for certification exams, and participating in work-based learning. You will use your social media skills, with support from the Council's school and company contacts, to create content for the national profiles. You will share your perspective with students and families, school leaders, and company executives through blogs, social media content, surveys, webinars, and focus groups.
