Job Description – Interior Packing & Shipping

The creation of custom packaging is necessary for most of the finished projects that leave the company. Careful packaging ensures fewer returns from damage and breakage. This is also the last step in the quality control process. High quality standards and careful inspection guarantee improved customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience

Minimum: High School education or GED equivalent. 3 Year experience in Manufacturing Packing & Shipping.

Major Responsibilities

· Thoroughly inspects all Interior signs after assembly and follow all quality control processes.

· Thoroughly inspects packaging of completed signage to guarantee superior quality.

· Schedules packaging sequence according to shipping report.

· Use the shipping venders’ site to process shipping’s as well as give estimate of shipping cost to sales team.

· Takes the lead, gives direction, helps solve problems, and motivates workers who perform similar duties.

· Examines incoming materials and supplies to ensure correct amounts and that goods are free of shipping damage.

· Will be required to lift items up to 50 lbs. on a routine bases.

Universal Tasks and Responsibilities

· Inspects finished product for any quality defect or deficiency.

· Reports defect or returns product to proper department for reworking.

· Assembles orders for shipment, counts, weighs, and checks against shipping order.

· Measures product as to prepare packaging materials for the proper dimensions.

· Boxes or crates product assuring its safety during shipping.

· Receives instructions and work specifications from supervisor and transmits them to other workers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
