Job Description
This contract role includes per diem, temp housing, and travel allowance.
This position reports to the CNO.
Requirements
- Manages 24-hour patient care departments, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-focused services that comply with regulations
- Establishes and maintains patient care and service standards to meet the expectations of members and internal clients
- Designs and evaluates processes to enhance systems and patient care outcomes
- Develops and monitors budgets for efficient use of resources, identifying strategies to reduce costs and improve quality
- Determines appropriate staff mix, and oversees hiring, training, and competency maintenance
- Ensures ongoing staff development and compliance with organizational goals and policies
- Manages departmental policies, procedures, fiscal management, and quality improvement activities
- Resolves human resource, employee, safety, and risk management issues
- Supports compliance, code of conduct, and confidentiality of information, acting with ethics and integrity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related field, Master’s Degree preferred
- Current AZ RN license
- CPR Certification
- ACLS Certification and NRP preferred
- Advanced or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred
- STABLE Certification preferred
- 3+ years experience in clinical setting and managerial experience
