Interim Data Developer (Remote)

Job Description

Warbird Consulting Partners actively seeks experienced candidates to be considered for an Interim Data Developer (Remote) role with a large healthcare system in the Carolinas. The successful candidate will assist in the development and maintenance of data management processes (e.g., data extraction, transformation, and loading), query and reporting tools, and analytical applications. He/she will document database business requirements and associated source systems, code, test, debug and maintain the data management processes, and adhere to all administrative policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and stability of the data systems environment. This is a temp-to-perm role and onsite presence is required.

Contract Length - 12 months

Work Location - Remote

Rate - Competitive with travel expenses paid

Status - W2 Exempt

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and builds SQL queries for complex projects and ad hoc reporting.
• Documents business requirements including information, transformation, retention, and summarization requirements. Helps to ensure all requests are received, properly evaluated, and responded to in a timely manner.
• Documents data classifications, data definitions, and data relationships.
• Understands and can apply physical and logical database design concepts.
• Helps analyze source system data to ensure data adheres to identified business rules.
• Presents recommendations on issues found in applications and assists in correcting those issues.
• Helps to ensure data quality by identifying and investigating data quality issues.
• Guarantees efficient and effective completion of project assignments in accordance with standard procedures.
• Plans own work effort based on assigned work tasks.
• Records time against assigned tasks accurately and punctually

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

• Prefer a four-year degree in computer science, business administration or related field, but will consider two year degree candidates and candidates with equivalent work experience
• 1 year in healthcare planning, operations, or HIM/Coding is preferred
• Proficient with a variety of information systems technologies is desirable: desktop applications (MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, etc.), databases (SQL-Server, MS-Access, etc.), query and programming languages (SQL), business intelligence packages (Business Objects), extract / transformation / load tools, development on Windows platform, relational database design
• Must be a service-oriented, team player. Interpersonal skills: Initiative, Customer service focus, handles pressure well, analytical problem solving, teamwork / collaboration, willingness to learn new tools and approaches, communicates proactively, cooperatively, and constructively

COMPUTER HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE:

• Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)
• Understanding of EPIC Financials and Clinical applications
