Interim Controller

Overview of the Interim Controller Role:

  • Supervise financial systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, implementing internal controls for revenue, costs, and budgets.
  • Coordinate client audits, manage corporate audit processes, and analyze financial data for accurate reporting to senior leadership.
  • Support annual budgeting, identify variances, and administer financial plans.
  • Oversee grants accounting to ensure alignment with budgets and compile financial reporting materials for various grants.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor the performance of invested assets according to guidelines.
  • Address inquiries from owners, investors, and agencies.
  • Recommend improvements to company policies and procedures.
  • Optimize accounting team's roles through training programs.
  • Strengthen internal communications and promote a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Preferred Qualifications for the Interim Controller:

  • 2+ years of relevant accounting leadership experience.
  • Experience in the property management or real estate industry is a plus.
  • Team player, self-motivated, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and financial reporting support.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is a plus.
