A Full-Service Am Law 200 Firm is seeking a patent attorney or patent agent with two to five years of experience to join our life science patent practice. Together, we service a range of companies from start-ups to some of the world's largest in their respective fields, strategically positioning and protecting their innovations. We are seeking patent attorneys and agents who bring complementary legal/subject matter expertise and are a natural fit to our team.Position Requirements:
- Previous patent prosecution law firm experience, patent bar membership, and a background in one of the following fields: cell or molecular biology, immunology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cancer biology, pharmacology, biophysics, or digital health focused disciplines or biomedical, mechanical or chemical engineering
- For attorneys: Law degree from accredited law school
- Minimum 2 years of patent prosecution experience
- Position is preferably located in our Salt Lake City or Denver offices, however other office locations will be considered
- Experience with drafting and prosecution of medical device, mechanical, and basic electrical technology-related applications desired
- Preference for additional patent or work experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, chemical compositions, and/or software
